주인공 에반이 내면의 불안함과 외로움을 보여 주는 두번째 넘버, 이 뮤지컬의 대표 곡 중 하나인 Waving through a window. 이 뮤지컬 곡은 전반적으로 말이 길고 많은 편이라 맞춰 번역하기가 까다롭다. 괜히 시작했나 싶기도 하고..? ㅋㅋㅋ

이 노래는 처음 들었을 때 굉장히 인상적이었는데, '아무도 없는 숲에서 나무가 쓰러졌다면(듣는 사람이 아무도 없다면) 그 소리가 정말 존재하는 걸까?' 라는 철학에서의 유명한 질문을 가사에 녹인 부분이 흥미로웠기 때문이다. 사회적응에 어려움을 겪는 에반의 마음을 표현하기 적절한 좋은 가사라고 생각한다.
